This is my 1st triathlon wetsuit and after watching a video on how to put it on it went very well. There was great buoyancy and swimming a freestyle stroke things went very well. My arm motion was limited when trying to swim breaststroke, which is what I do when I'm sighting or simply need a break (I'm not a great swimmer) but I limit those stokes to just a few so not a big deal. The suit is very warm, really too warm for the water I was swimming in, but I wanted to try it before the race.
I may followup this review after my race this weekend where the water will be 10 degress colder.

This is a very comfortable and flexible wetsuit--truly a second skin--that also does its job of insulating the core while swimming in colder water. The wetsuit is relatively easy to put on, and even the dreaded rear zipper issue worked out well after only a second attempt at putting on the wetsuit. The key for me was to gather as much slack as possible from the legs and arms, and to pull this slack gently up to the neck area, before attempting to zip up the back. Also, I lightly gripped the material below the zipper with one hand while zipping up the cord with the other. In the water, the wetsuit was very pliable and unrestrictive with my freestyle stroke. I also liked the ridged material in the forearm area that facilitates the pull stage of the stroke. And the suit was very easy to remove, inside-out, when I was done with my swim. Just a word about sizing, though: I was initially advised by Synergy to buy a men's S-3, based on my measurements--just under 5'7", @ 150 pounds, wide in the shoulders and big in the chest area, but with a small waist. However, the S-3 was too small for me. I simply could not zip up the back, despite six efforts to do so. And even when a friend zipped me up, the suit was very constricting in the shoulder and chest area. So I contacted Synergy about this, and they advised me to try the M-1, the next size up, which fits perfectly. Synergy was very generous and helpful about the exchange: I had purchased the S-3 on Amazon.com, but Synergy offered to sell me the M-1 directly from their website, at the same discounted Amazon.com price, and with the same free two-day delivery under my Amazon Prime membership. So I returned the S-3 to Amazon and received the M-1 directly from Synergy just two days after mailing in the return. I was very pleased with Synergy's generous handling of this exchange, and it allowed me to receive the M-1 in time for swimming in the Atlantic ocean for the entire July 4 weekend. Thanks again, Synergy, for an expertly designed wetsuit and a generous customer service policy.

I was "upgraded" from the '12 version to the '13 when I placed my order, I believe it is essentially the same suite other than coloring.
First open water swim in it was last night, WOW. It was incredible. Buoyancy was amazing, helping to stay in the correct position in the water. And there was still great flexibility within the shoulders.
I was blown away by the suit. I hope it holds up well but at a price of less than half of many other suits, I wouldn't hesitate going through 2 of these before something else.
Thank you for a great product at a great price.
